⏰ The House Will Vote on Biden's Impeachment... sort of⏰

December 6th, 2023

Happy Wednesday, Patriots! In politics, it is said that "if you can't win your home town, don't run at all." It basically means that if the people who know you best do not vote for you, you have no chance with people who do not know you.

This is especially true when it comes to presidential candidates; people want to believe that their children can rise from small-town America to become President someday. The people of Biden's hometown, on the other hand, all agree that he sucks. Many Scranton, residents called Biden "the worst President we've ever had." Good thing Joe is sleeping, or else he’d be pretty upset that Cornpop didn’t like him.

The House Will Vote on Biden’s Impeachment Inquiry Next Week!

Republicans have been saying for months that they would move forward with impeachment, but nothing has happened. Speaker Johnson announced yesterday that there will be a formal vote on this inquiry sometime next week. Kevin McCarthy launched a "impeachment inquiry" on September 12, and it will become official nearly three months later.

To be clear, this is not a vote to impeach the president; rather, it is a vote to formally investigate him. If the impeachment inquiry receives majority support on the House floor, it will be formally adopted, allowing the House's inquiry to obtain information that the White House has blocked. Speaker Johnson wrote to the caucus' moderate members, saying that "whether someone is for or against impeachment is of no importance right now."

In preparation for the vote, the House Judiciary, Ways and Means, and Oversight Committees issued a joint interim 78-page staff report on Tuesday describing the Justice Department's (DOJ) "deviations" in the five-year investigation into Hunter Biden.
