Happy Monday, Patriots! Last week, John Fetterman spoke about Bob Menendez saying “We cannot have an alleged foreign agent in the United States Senate,”

I agree with him, but I wonder he feels about the Foreign Agent we have in the White House? .

Republicans Flip The Louisiana Governors Mansion

Attorney General Jeff Landry, a Republican backed by former President Donald Trump, has won the Louisiana governor's race. The win is a major victory for the GOP as they reclaim the governor's mansion for the first time in eight years. It also could be a bell-weather for the 2024 election.
Background Louisiana uses a voting system known as the 'Jungle Primary' in its state elections. This approach involves listing all candidates, both Republican and Democrat, on the ballot, and it usually leads to the top two contenders competing in the November election.

I say usually because that didn't happen in this case, Jeff Landry was able to get 51.56% of the vote, nearly 30 points higher than his next challenger.
What this means for the GOP Republicans got over 65% of the vote, with Democrats only getting 28.5%, nearly 40% lower than the Democrats.

In 2020, Donald Trump carried the state by just under 20 points. If this trend continues, it is another state that has moved farther to the right under the Biden Administration, and could signal nationwide trends that Republicans can capitalize on in 2024.

It also gives hope to Daniel Cameron and Mark Robinson, the Republican Nominees in Kentucky's and North Carolina's Gubernatorial race. Kentucky and North Carolina are states, that like Louisiana, voted for Donald Trump in 2020 but then elected Democratic Governors.
It should Save us Money: In 2020, the RNC and Donald Trump spent millions in the state to make sure Trump carried it, with this result, it shows that Trump can instead save that money and invest it into swing states to improve his margins over Biden.

Jordan sets his sites on Speaker
RIGHTLY <br> INFORMEDWho Will Be Our Next Speaker?
    Image description

A few weeks back, we broke the news that Kevin McCarthy saga when he was dethroned as Speaker for breaking the very rules that ushered him into power. Since then, the race to find his successor has been a rollercoaster, with fervor at its peak, a sudden lull, and now, it's left me scratching my head wondering, "What's going on?"
Background: Following Kevin's ousting, the House took a breather, but the race to succeed him revved up in high gear. Two bold contenders, Steve Scalise and Jim Jordan, threw their hats into the ring, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown.

Scalise emerged as the nominee for Speaker, only to face a rocky road ahead. His popularity took a nosedive within the conference, leading to his withdrawal from the race, triggered by a substantial group of 20 Republicans pledging not to cast their vote in favor of the Louisiana congressman.
The Nobody: Rep. Austin Scott from Georgia threw his hat in the ring, citing, "I want to lead a House that functions in the best interest of the American people."

It's quite ironic, because when you consider Austin's 13-year tenure in the House, it seems like his primary focus has been enriching himself. While we often associate insider trading with politicians like Nancy Pelosi, it appears that Austin Scott, the two-time best stock picker in Congress, has taken a page from that playbook to pad his own pockets.
Time to Lead: Austin Scott dropped out the race, after losing the nomination to Jordan, now it's time for the GOP caucus to step up and elect Jim Jordan to be our next Speaker!
